Module One | An Introduction to My Investment Club
Example trade | Growth targets | How clubs work | Club Meetings
Module One | Part 1
In part 1 we quickly get on with showing a typical, real, club trade to give an idea of how our trades work. Of course, this is an example of one of many trading techniques that we use. The video moves on to show the potential growth of an investment club and to show the growth of an actual club (Tees Traders Investment Club). Finally, we look at how clubs, meetings and contributions work.
Module One | Part 2
In part 2 we take a step back and look at what our clubs can do for members. This can be anything from having a bit of fun to building a serious asset. However, we do want all members to have a good understanding of trading to allow them to contribute meaningfully to decision making. We introduce the idea of members having their own trading accounts and introduce our advanced clubs.
Module One | Part 3
In part 3 we explain many trading terms that we use on a day to day basis in our trading. Terms such as covered call options, puts, bid, ask and ticker symbol. We also provide a number of examples to clarify exactly what the terms mean.
Module One | Part 4
Here we look at how we try to minimise and mitigate risk by selecting "safe" stocks, using covered call options to reduce our exposure and buying put options as a form of insurance. We cover fees and tax and see how both, but tax in particular affects the growth of our trading accounts.
