As traders, we need to have as much information as we can get about the direction and strength of price movements. Trendlines are a good start but we also use indicators to help confirm the conclusions that we reach by examining the price charts. We look at the three indicators that we use most - exponential moving averages, the MACD and the RSI.

Stock prices tend to move in a wave format. Different actions such as buying, selling, selling covered calls are appropriate at different parts of the wave.
